Ngoni's Teaching Philosophy
I believe that we all are capable of embodying the intended principles set forth by Joseph Pilates. I want to respect your time and I want you to see and feel progress.
I want to champion your Pilates practice. Joseph Pilates said, "The mind, housed within a healthful body, possesses a glorious sense of power." I'm about having that!

Interests outside of Pilates: I have my hand in a little bit of everything. I am most comfortable on a stage with my family member or friends making music.
Favorite Pilates movement? These days I am very interested in abdominal strength and exploring with people what level they have felt engagement or connection throughout their life. So I am in love with The Hundred at the moment. There are so many subtle movements that make a big difference in how you experience the girdle of strength fundamental while doing The Hundred.
Least favorite Pilates movement? My hip flexion has come along, but it is most vulnerable when I am doing Saw. You know I’m losing it when my shoulders start climbing toward my ears.

What would your dream day off in Seattle look like? A sunrise at 5 AM, a sunset at 10 PM. A bike ride with my family to Lake Washington. Spending the day laying out, playing, and eating good food. No traffic.
Favorite tunes for self-practice: It really depends on my mood. Lately I have been listening to Mali Music – It’s Gonna Be Alright, when I’m in the studio. The song has become meditative to me.
Favorite quote about Pilates/the body/movement: "All you gotta do is breathe. Breathe as if your life depended on it--because it does." –Ron Fletcher

When I’m not wearing Fletcher Black, I wear: Something from my thrift shop shenanigans.
How do you want your clients to feel when they leave a session with you? Ready for whatever is coming next in their day. I usually encourage an intention for the rest of the day, applying the Pilates principles to daily life.
